Let's Chew in Perù | Street Food Tour

I’ll be honest, I came to Perù to chew! After hearing that Peruvian cuisine received World's Leading Culinary Destination award and after spending 6 months in Colombia, I was pumped!

Since arriving, I have been eating my way thru the city and have thoroughly enjoyed just about everything I have tried from ceviche to anticucho corazon which translates to beef hearts.

I had the opportunity to take a tour with Curios, a tour company that does off-the-beaten-path tours that explore places many tourists don’t experience. During the tour, we had the pleasure of checking out the local flea market, and the shopping district of Gammara, and tried lots of different street foods.

I learned the difference between the new school churros in the old school churros which are both delicious by the way. We tried papa rellena, turron de dona pepa, & even saw Black Jesus.
